World Premiere of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s Nobody Owns the Moon

For some time now the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, based in Fremantle, Western Australia, has been lovingly adapting Tohby Riddle’s picture book Nobody Owns The Moon to the stage. To quote from SPPT’s site: ‘With hand puppets, marionettes and masks Nobody Owns the Moon will make you think twice about the place you live, and might even encourage you to stop and say hello to your neighbour.’

The world premiere of this beautiful and artful production will take place on 24 September 2016. Who knows? Somewhere in the audience there might even be a very chuffed ‘fox’ and ‘donkey’, as life imitates art imitating life …

And on Wednesday 28 September, following the evening’s performance, Tohby Riddle will be taking part in an ‘In Conversation’ panel session with SPPT’s Associate Director, Michael Barlow and Designer, Leon Hendroff. There are also a number of author events scheduled at libraries in and around Fremantle and Perth.
